Charles Manson Obtains Marriage License

News spread this week of the marriage license issued to one of the world’s most notorious killers, Charles Manson and 26 year old Afton Elaine Burton. As a fan of Manson’s who believes in his innocence, Burton reportedly moved from her Mid-Western home to California when she was just a teenager to be closer to Manson at Corcoran State Prison, where Manson has been incarcerated since 1989.

Many of us cannot help but wonder what purpose it would serve for this 26 year old woman to marry an 80 year old convicted serial killer. Fox News reports in the following article that Burton believes marrying Manson and becoming his next of kin will allow her access to information not available to non-relatives that would assist her in obtaining a possible release for Manson.
