The Most Expensive Divorce in History

We are all aware of how expensive a divorce can be, but the typical costs seem modest in light of the recent Rybolovlev divorce proceedings. The divorcing Russian billionaire couple caught the attention of many worldwide as the ex-husband, Dmitry Rybolovlev, an owner of the French soccer club AS Monaco, was ordered by a Swiss court to pay more than 4 billion Swiss francs (over $4.5 billion) to his ex-wife, Elena Rybolovleva of Geneva. In addition, the judgment granted Elena property in Gstaad valued at 130.5 million francs ($145.8 million) and two other properties. This could become the biggest divorce settlement in history.
