Disagreements over vaccinations have ramped up thanks to Covid-19. In a guest column published on September 14 by Rebecca Palmer, she discusses joint-custody agreements and considerations for the welfare of children.
“If there is a dispute that cannot be resolved through civil conversations, mediation, or the advice of the child’s pediatrician, the court will look at the custody agreement and parenting plan submitted when a divorce was granted, and the custody settled,” writes Rebecca. “In most joint-custody agreements, the right to consent to a vaccination or medical procedure requires both parents to agree.”
