The Florida alimony reform bill, discussed in previous blog entries, has recently cleared a House committee. The bill, however, has been slightly amended to conform to Senate Bill 731, which was introduced after House Bill 231.

In fact, The Family Law Section of the Florida Bar is opposed to the proposed legislation and has offered testimony in this regard at the legislation hearings.
